Warzone Mobile Overview: Mobile Survival Gaming

Latest Warzone Mobile Service Updates

Currently, Activision has reduced support and operations for CALL OF DUTY®: WARZONE™ MOBILE. This means the game no longer receives new seasonal updates or gameplay changes. All real-money transactions have been disabled; players can only use previously purchased COD Points to unlock any in-game items still available. Crucially, since May 18, 2025, Warzone Mobile has been removed from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store worldwide, so new users are unable to download or install it. If your device had WZM installed before the cut-off, you can still log in, access online matchmaking, and continue to benefit from cross-progression across platforms for all pre-existing content.

Standout Maps: Verdansk & Rebirth Island in Warzone Mobile

Verdansk Vibes, Rebirth Island & Call of Duty Lore

CALL OF DUTY®: WARZONE™ MOBILE lets players dive into two main maps: Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Verdansk is vast, offering a mix of urban hotspots, woodlands, abandoned sites, and iconic landmarks. Rebirth Island is smaller and faster-paced, built around relentless firefights. Notably, Rebirth Island evolved from the Alcatraz (Mob of the Dead, Black Ops II Zombies) map, underwent several versions, and finally returned in Warzone Mobile. Each map delivers a classic Warzone feel: Verdansk is perfect for large, tactical battles, while Rebirth Island focuses on speed, teamwork, and high-stakes showdowns in areas like Prison and Factory.

Warzone Mobile Game Modes: Battle Royale & Multiplayer

Game Mode Variety: Battle Royale, Resurgence, Mosh Pit

CALL OF DUTY®: WARZONE™ MOBILE offers a diverse range of game modes so every player can find their match. Verdansk features a classic Battle Royale mode for up to 120 players, ideal for large squad-based survival. The Mobile Royale mode shortens matches, speeds up gameplay, boosts looting, and contract rates. On Rebirth Island, the Resurgence mode enables players to return to the action as long as a teammate remains alive, encouraging tight squad play and teamwork. There’s also a Multiplayer system with a Mosh Pit playlist, featuring fan-favorite modes like Team Deathmatch (TDM), Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed across popular maps (Scrapyard, El Asilo, Hotel, Shipment, Shoot House, and more). Players can set up custom Private Matches, supporting anywhere from 25 to around 120 players depending on the mode.

Gas Circles, Cash, and Buy Stations Explained

The core gameplay loop of CALL OF DUTY®: WARZONE™ MOBILE centers on: choosing your drop zone, picking up gear (armor, ammo, weapons), completing contracts to accumulate cash, adapting movement as the toxic gas circle closes, fighting for favorable positions, and aiming for that #1 finish. On Rebirth Island, in-match cash can unlock your custom primary weapon via the Buy Station. Every choice how you gather and spend resources can make the difference between winning and losing.

Cross-Progression: Linking Your Warzone Mobile Account

Integrated Progression and Cosmetics Across the COD Ecosystem

Warzone Mobile features cross-progression with other COD titles like Modern Warfare III and Warzone for console/PC, enabled via your Activision ID. Select items, achievements, and skins unlocked here will sync across platforms (where supported). Although the service has narrowed, cross-progression still works but now only supports legacy content no new updates or fresh cosmetics. This connectivity lets players leverage their hard-earned rewards across multiple platforms.
